Corey Harris
Guitarist, vocalist and songwriter carves out his own niche in blues, infusing it with reggae, soul and West African traditions.

Harris began his career as a New Orleans street singer, followed by a musically inspiring year of living in West Africa. Over 30 years, the MacArthur “Genius” award-winner has created an original vision of the blues by adding influences from reggae, soul, rock and West African music. Along the way he has played with artists such as B.B. King, Taj Mahal, Buddy Guy, R.L. Burnside, Ali Farka Touré and Billy Bragg.
