Waahli & Guests
Montreal musician fuses hip-hop, Afrobeat, reggae and Haitian funk.

Waahli is a Montreal-based artist of Haitian descent who fuses hip-hop, Afrobeat, reggae and Haitian funk into a unique musical approach deeply rooted in his heritage.
A co-founder of the hip-hop supergroup Nomadic Massive, Waahli’s solo career has also flourished; his fourth album Seven Bubbles dropped this year. Performed in English, French, and Haitian Creole, it’s an astoundingly inventive project that pushes aesthetic and sonic boundaries.
For this show, a co-presentation with Vancouver's French Cultural Centre, Waahli will perform with Vancouver musicians Jacky Essombé, Yoro Noukoussi and Kocassalé Dioubaté in what is sure to be a thrilling collaboration.
